We’re wagging with excitement at Cavity Detective Pediatric Dentistry—because we have a brand-new addition to our family! Meet Chewy, named after our favorite Star Wars character Chewbacca! Chewy is our golden retriever puppy, and the fluffiest member of our dental team!


Chewy may not be picking up a toothbrush anytime soon, but he’s already teaching us a lot about care, patience, and the importance of routine—just like brushing and flossing every day!


As pediatric dental specialists, we know that building trust and making dental visits fun is essential for children. Chewy reminds us every day how gentle encouragement and consistent routines make a big difference in forming lifelong healthy habits.






Here are a few fun lessons Chewy has taught us that also apply to healthy smiles:

Puppies need daily routines—so do our teeth! Brushing twice a day, flossing, and visiting the dentist regularly are the building blocks of a healthy smile.
